Damon: Can’t sleep?
Elena: I was writing.
Damon: About me, I hope?
Elena: Like I’ve got other irritating vampires to write about.
Damon: You wound me. C’mere. Tell me what you’re thinking.
Elena: I wonder what my life would be like if you leave.
Damon: I won’t leave unless you want me to.
Elena: I’m afraid I may never want that. But I don’t want to be a vampire either.
Damon: You don’t have to think about it now. Maybe as time passes, you’ll get tired of big bad me and beg me to get out of your life.
Elena: This is supposed to be a serious conversation, you know.
Damon: Actually, I’m serious. You don’t have to think about it now, I mean it.
Elena: Okay. What if you get tired of me? What if you don’t like me anymore?
Damon: I wouldn’t worry about that. I’ll always like you.
Elena: Even if I have wrinkles? And Damon, what if I get fat? God, what if I get fat?
Damon: Oh, I’m going to make sure you don’t get fat.
Elena: A diet?
Damon: Better. You know how they say that sex is the best way to burn off calories?
“I want you to remember the things you felt”
“I see you finally decided to honor the world with your consciousness.”
She smiled and watched him stumble around in the bathroom. His black pants were hanging on his hips, his chest was bare and his damp hair was a black mess that was pointing in different directions.
“Dreamworld just couldn’t get enough of me.”
“And still they let you go.” He watched her approach him in the mirror and smirked.
“I told them that a god would sue them if they cut him off sex for more than twenty-four hours.” She wrapped her arms around his naked torso and squeezed him against her.
He shook his head in amusement. “You immediately pulled out the big guns.”
“Oh no.” She shook her head and pressed a kiss between his shoulder blades. “They said that they totally understood the fact that you can’t miss me.”
“You know.” He started applying shaving cream on his face. “There was a time when I thought you were innocent.”
